Play Week East returns to the lovely
tree-lined campus of
University in Lawrenceville, NJ. Easily
accessible from New York and Philadelphia, the campus is located just 8 miles from the charming and
culturally vibrant town of Princeton, NJ.
The four-and-a-half day format provides eight ensemble coachings,
special-topic sessions, and participant and faculty
concerts, but in a condensed time frame that fits into
your busy schedule! The workshop begins Wednesday late
afternoon and runs through late Sunday afternoon.
String players and pre-formed groups are welcome to
apply; some slots may be available for wind players.
Accommodations: All participants enjoy private,
air-conditioned rooms within comfortable four-bedroom
suites in Moore Hall. Each suite has a full bath, and a large living room.
Dining: Meals are provided at Rider's modern
dining hall, located just across the green from our
accommodations, where a wide selection of food is
served, cafeteria-style. The open lounge in Moore Hall
will be our place for after-hours gatherings and
Facilities: Ensembles meet in the spacious living
rooms of the suites. The faculty will perform in the Art
Gallery on Saturday evening and the participant concert
will take place in the Fireside Lounge in the Student
Center on Sunday afternoon.
